Hello, first timer here.
I'm a filmmaker and "urban explorer" as well. Our organisation HK URBEX is a collective based in Hong Kong that documents derelict and hidden sites with cultural or historical value (and the items inside it). We were recently interviewed by The New York Times, as well as BBC, and CNN.
We've done some initial scans already: www.sketchfab.com/hkurbex
Since good lighting won't always be available where I go, I tried some DIY methods of attaching LED lights to my iPad/iPhone, and would like to share with you all.
LED panels aren't usually this thin, but they are becoming more so these days due to their convenience. The one I have here is by Aputure
. I've seen some other cheap generic brands on eBay etc too.
Here's also a more extreme version using Rotolights brand!
Meanwhile, if there is anybody here interested in giving us tips or help enhance our scans please get in touch! For example, we haven't had much luck doing room scans.
Update: I'm using the gen 1 iPad Air, so I just read that has memory limitations
