I scanned an object remotely with my ipad pro and then emailed to myself. I am editing the .OBJ file in Rhino. I am running into a problem with the mesh as I am preparing it for 3d printing. The mesh looks good from a distance but upclose it is sort of messed up in terms of being able to 3Dprint it, I think rhino calls them naked edges / bad edges. There is an automated way of fixing the edges but when I choose that option my form becomes unrecognizable. I wonder if I should use an easier program like meshmixer or remake to make the mesh watertight, but when I import files into those programs I loose the photo data that want to edit and print as well. Apologies for this not being a clear question, I am new to 3d scanning. Any advice would be appreciated.
I scanned the original file using the structure scanner app i got in the app store.
