Depth Sensor on different types of materials

Does the structure sensor have any limitations as to the types of materials upon which a scan will occur?

Precisely, I am looking into ordering a model to scan, and I want to make sure that the type of material the model will be made of will not interfere with the structure sensor’s scan, namely aluminium?

Shiny, reflective surfaces are a challenge for many depth sensors that use lasers for capturing 3D data. Reflective surfaces can reflect the laser light in unexpected ways, impeding operation. Many users have found better results by treating reflective surfaces with removable opaque paint, powder, or tape prior to 3D scanning.

The same goes for surfaces that are clear.
