How to save a specific version of an app on a device

#1

Hi everyone,
this is probably again an Xcode question, but on Google I can just find links about downgrading apps and maybe more people have the same issue. This could be super easy or even not allowed due to apple’s policies, but how can I save a specific version of my app on any device? When I make changes and compile/deploy again my older app will get replaced. Is renaming an option? However, I think I am only allowed to deploy one app with a specific name, right?
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Thomas

Thomas,

One thing you can do is change the app Bundle ID. The Bundle ID, specified in the Info.plist file for an app, is what determines “uniqueness”.

The Bundle ID is something like com.company.AppName – you could change it to, for example, com.company.AppName2.
