Raw data from Skanect?

#1

Is there a way to retrieve and record the raw data stream (both depth and color image) when using uplink with Skanect (free or pro version)? Currently I’m using the free version and I’ve found that saved scans do retain color when reloaded into Skanect but I’ve only been able to locate and read the depth image (as per this topic). Additionally, does recording of frames continue when tracking is lost?

The ultimate goal is to use and iPad+sensor as a 3D video recorder so that the raw data can be processed offline as I’m looking into testing/developing various algorithms. Ideally I would stream the raw data to be recorded since I currently do not have an iOS development environment.

Interested in this as well, disheartened to not see much info on this. Keywords:

The color frames are located in the same area but you will need to check all of the frame folders as they are not captured for every frame but instead for only some of the captured frames.

Hey guys - this is coming in a little late but Looking Glass released an iOS app for depth video capture (Holoflix) that is free for use with Structure + iPad. Here’s the link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/holoflix/id1122631930?mt=8

More tutorials are available on our medium.

We’ve also developed a Unity SDK for Holoflix to make editing depth video super easy: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/75507

This is great! What is the format of the files recorded with the Holoflix app?
