Resetting or testing possibly faulty Sensor?

Is there anyway to test/reset the Structure Scanner hardware? Have plugged it in and not seeing an orange LED, as expected. Tried changing the fuse in the (UK) plug adapter and no change. Any way to tell if it’s power adaptor or the hardware itself?

Please answer the following questions.

  1. When you plug in the AC adapter to your sensor does an amber light appear on the front? If it does is it solid or flashing.

  2. (OPTIONAL) If you have the Hacker Cable, when you plug in the Hacker Cable to your sensor and a plug adapter/PC does an amber light appear on the front? If it does is it solid or flashing.

  3. Can you see if the iPad recognizes the sensor with the lightning connector cable plugged in. After you plug in the sensor go to Settings -> General -> About -> (Do you see Structure Sensor written under the word Bluetooth?)

  4. Plug the AC adapter to the sensor, then plug the lightning connector from the sensor to the iPad. Does the iPad then detect the sensor. After you plug in the sensor go to Settings -> General -> About -> (Do you see Structure Sensor written under the word Bluetooth?)

If you answered YES to Q3 or Q4 continue below. If you did not answer yes to Q3 or Q4 then send me the answers to the above questions in a DM.

Can you please do the following with the sensor disconnected.

  • On your iPad open Safari

  • Copy and paste this link to install our DebugTool app: strx.io/debugtool2

  • Click “Install” when the pop up appears.

  • Now you should see the “DebugTool” on your iPad

  • Open the app

  • You will then see “Waiting for Structure Sensor” at the top

  • Plug the AC adapter into the sensor.

  • Connect the sensor to your iPad via the Lightning Connector Cable

  • You should now see “Got file list - ready”

  • Leave it connected for 30 seconds

  • Disconnect it for 30 seconds

  • Connect it for 30 seconds

  • Disconnect it for 30 seconds

  • Connect it for 30 seconds

  • Disconnect it for 30 seconds

  • Connect it for 30 seconds

  • Then click 'Send Log" to support@structure.io

Once we receive the log file I’ll have one of our engineers look at it.
